Two days ago I wrote that iTunes should change the name of the music store to iTunes Media Store, and today TUAW just wrote the same thing.
Their stories are so weak now anyways.

Way to go, I mean, if you don’t like a website it’s always best to give it publicity and drive visitors to it, right?
Like I said at TUAW (since I wrote the post and all) today is the first time I have ever been to your blog, and only because you accused me of plagiarizing your post.
The thought of changing the iTMS name is something that often comes up on many Apple related blogs, so I’m sorry to say you weren’t the first to think of it.
Thanks for reading TUAW, though, weak stories and all.
Your story is weak here, too. You wrote 80 words on the subject, and you aren’t the first to blog about it. It seems unlikely that your post was “ripped off” considering “iTunes Media Store” is about the most generic and obvious name for a rebranded iTMS. There are 125 results for this phrase via Technorati search on blogs, and only three of them were written after yours. Did they rip you off, too?
Umm… Scotty actually copied his own post dated OCT 2005 – 9months. This was a responce to 37signals post regarding the iTunes name.

TUAW:

Thanks for that!
So does this mean that Brett copied me? I’m so confused.
Dude nobody knows who you are, and NOBODY is reading your blog. Grow up.
The best part about your blog is that you think someone actually ripped you off. Now thats entertainment…errr…stupidity…that’s it.
Man, you should be pissed. Not only did TUAW copy your idea without credit, they didn’t even bother to take the whole thing. They left out your clueless arrogance and claim that the idea was original.
Hey on the bright side you have more comments on this post than you have had on all your other posts combined.
you suck
Wow, I bet traffic to your blog just went up a few points today
!
At first I thought you were some immature 16 year old, but now I see you’re actually 23, which makes your post even sadder and pathetic than it already is.
I’m in agreement that TUAW has been sucking as of late, but it takes a HELL of a lot of cluelessness and hubris to think that they’d “rip off” a nobody with a barely read blog such as yours.
The funny thing is that as I was walking to work yesterday, for some reason, I was thinking the same thing about the iTMS…does that mean I psychically “ripped off” your post?
You’re a douche!!!!!
jk whatever you’re hot you can say whatever you want
a dumbass, you are.
TUAW does suck cock, i will give u that!
lol im a sad cock edits peoples comments so it make it look like they are supporting me
my origional comemnt was i hope you and your family live for a long time
lol i bet I edit this one now I’m a sad cunt
Is there anything on the internet these days that wasn’t written, said, or thought of by someone else first? I’ve read articles similar to this for quite some time now…
I stopped by to see if your accusation was true and I am not surprised to learn that you are a complete moron. You may want to look up ‘clone’ in the dictionary because you obviously dont know what it means.
See if you can come up with a genuinely original idea, before you go around accusing people of ripping you off.
[...] TUAW Rips me off… Two days ago I wrote that iTunes should change the name of the music store to iTunes Media Store, and today TUAW just [...] [...]
Hmmm thats a nice idea to get people involved in discussions. I’m off to say something bad about Techcrunch or maybe throw some nuts on Mashable.com that they ripped me off. I will see a whole bunch of people posting comments in my favor or against me
Whatever, you are quite successful in generating free content off your ‘two lines’ post lol.
Ooooooooolah .. didnt read the original date of this Post .. LOL .. 2006 .. Thought it was a recent post .. geeez internet!
