This is a 30sec ad spot I made for school, enjoy!

what is this? The Stoneage?

26 06 2006

You don't realize how out of touch you are when you don't have the internet.  When the Internet goes down a number of things go with it, for instance the phone, your communication with the outside world.  It's crazy how we rely on the Internet so much, if you are away from it for a while you are so out of touch when you get back.

Get the Corn out of my face…..

21 06 2006

If you have not seen NACHO LIBRE, then what are you doing reading this?  Get down to your local theater and see it.  I just saw it and it's awsome.  It is the funniest movie I have seen in a while, and for some reason critics say, "Oh it's not that good".  What are they talking about?  Jack Black is histerical with all of his facial expressions, and dances off camera.  If you are not familiar with the movie here is a rundown:

Nacho is a cook at an orphanag and really bad wants to become a wrestler, even though he's not so good.  Quote "You know why im not a good wrestler……cuz I SUCK!"

So anyways he works a few matches and gets some money to buy food for the kids, which is awsome.  "Today, is especially delicious."  Damn funny!  Check it out.

all for now, brett

Hurricanes are back, this time they’re pissed

12 06 2006

ok, so maybe it’s not a hurricane quite yet, but the new TS (Tropical Storm) Alberto is supposed to slam into Tampa early this week. Having lived in FL and originally being from there, there is nothing crazier then a new hurricane warning &/or watch every week. I remember last year was really insane, and people (the locals) have what are now known as ‘Hurricane Parties’.

Usually when hurricanes are among us, it’s not a good idea to go oustide because you could end up with a tree going straight through you. That’s why people hold these parties, and it’s kind of like a lock down. So you stock up on the essentials, water, batteries, flash lights, you name it, all incase your power gets killed by 80 MPH winds. After being to these hurricane parties I can tell you that it gets pretty crazy after the third day. Some weeks we had back to back hurricanes and we just had to “Hunker Down“.  Google that and all you will find is hurricane stories I’m sure.

Let’s face it, hurricanes are definetly here to stay, at least for the next decade, and with the new one already getting momentum, this will be one interesting season.

If you live in the path of the usual hurricane roadway, chances are you have become familiar with the popular site NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s ) weather.gov. This site is the absolute best to gather information about these storms, so even if you don’t live in TS’s paths, it’s kind of cool to check out.

New Ringtone that Old people can’t hear

12 06 2006

In another case where kids are outsmarting their parents, there is a new ringtone where the frequency is only high enough for younger ears to here it, if you are under 35. I heard about this on the radio this morning and they played it, which I could hear, but the announcer who was older, could not hear it. This is kind of cool, because kids don't have to turn their phones to silent, they can just put this ring tone on and they will be able to hear it. At the same time the noise is pretty high pitch, and it hurts your ears, so this would be very annoying to hear if this becomes popular.

So now the next time you hear a kids cell phone it might sound like a microwave, or a TV coming on, instead of the Ying-Yang Twins.

Download the Ringtone (MP3) and see if you can hear it.

If I were to buy a PC…

7 06 2006

It would definetly be this one. I'm not a huge fan of Alien Ware, but from what I hear they are the thing to buy for an ultimate gaming experience. Today they launched the limited edition Superman PC. They have a desktop and laptop available.  They come with Intel Pentium D Dual Core, pretty sweet box.

Google w/ more Products…Microsoft says “Oh No You Didnt!”

6 06 2006

Google is set today to release a new spreadsheet web-based application to put more pressure on Microsoft and their array of products, specifically the Excel application. This just shows more of the direction that Google is going in to combat all of Microsofts Applications. What is nice about Googles new products is that they are free, and on the web, so everyone can access them. Microsoft has still yet to produce something that everyone can enjoy really, but we will see. They are really trying to stay positive in the news, but with constant news of their new OS being postponed even more, it's hard to keep the faith in MSofts compatibility.

UPDATE:

I got a sneak preview of the Google Spreadsheet App, and it looks very cool, and you can even export the docs. as .XSL spreadsheet files.  Very COOL!
