Cellphones are required these days, and my former cell phone service At&t became cingular, and now they are going back to At&t.

Christmas time again

Hey, Christmas is here, again, its Awsome, this year it has come alot earlier, like a few weeks early. I noticed when they were playing holiday songs on the radio like over a week ago. Usually this doesn’t happen until after thanksgiving. So it’s cool, Christmas should last all year! Ha,

Ah yes music…

The great things about iPods, and other forms of digital music, is that people can literally listen to anything they want, whenever, wherever they want.  It’s awsome, because there are more bands now then ever, which means a much more variety of music for everyone to enjoy.

 If you like piano rock you may have heard of a band called Something Corporate.  They had a few songs on the radio, but most of their fans are from people just listening to their CD till it wears out.  Their shows are cool too.  Anyways front man Andrew Mcmahon has got a solo project out called Jack’s Mannequin, something he finished the day he found out he had cancer.  It’s good, check it out. 

STOCKS & BONDS…

I am in FL this week, getting ready to go back to DC to work next week.  Thanksgiving is coming up too, and we all know how crazy people go buying stuff, so that brings me to my topic.  What is the best way to invest your money?  is it stocks, realestate, or other.  My guess is just SAVE it, but you can gain alot of money if you catch a stock before it blows up.  Oh well, who knows.

Employers are using Facebook, Myspace, to screen candidates…

There was an article posted here that actually talks about how campus police, and other university personell are using FaceBook to crack down on illegal happeings on campus. They also mention that employers can use FaceBook to actually view your profile to see if they want to hire you. I don’t think I agree with this method, personal life, and prefessional life are completely seperate. So if someone posts a certain joke, or thinks a video is funny, and puts it on MySpace, then are they risking their chances for possible employment. Example:
What if someone found a video of something funny, like making fun of a certain race or ethnic group, it happens all the time. Then they post that, well then the employer is that specific ethnic group, and sees that. I don’t think that they should be doing that.

We are diving way into this whole background thing. If they don’t do well on an interview then there is reason to not hire someone, but looking up their MySpace profile, and seeing them with a drink in their hand or something, and then basing their desicion on that, is not right.

Halloween

This year I handed out Candy, last year I went to a party. I noticed this year there were alot of Batman costumes, and Spiderman, most kids want to be superheroes. Halloween is cool, next year I will try to go to some more parties.
